Look Out For Spiders in Your NJ Home This Winter

Although NJ has more than 500 types of spiders, only a handful are likely to show up in or around your home. Spiders are good at eliminating bugs in your home, but they can also be a nuisance, especially if you have a large infestation. You might need pest control services for any of the following spiders in your home.

American Grass Spiders

American grass spiders have white stripes on their elongated abdomen and are able to run at incredibly fast speeds. This can make them hard to catch if you find any in your home.

Black and Yellow Garden Spiders

Black and yellow garden spiders are large, colorful spiders that are usually found outdoors. These spiders spin elaborate, orb-shaped webs in trees, bushes, and other outdoor areas.

Fishing Spiders

Fishing spiders typically spend their time near water, where they hunt for bugs or tiny fish. These semi-aquatic spiders place their legs on top of the water to sense prey moving.

Red Spotted Ant Mimic Spiders

Red spotted ant mimic spiders resemble ants, especially when they walk around with their front legs held up. This makes it look like they have antennae on their head.

Wolf Spiders

Wolf spiders have multiple sets of eyes, including a row of four small eyes, two larger eyes, and another pair of small eyes. They also have a striped appearance and large body size.
