New Jersey Spiders That You May See This Winter

Spiders could be lurking inside closets or other areas of your home this winter. Colder temperatures cause these pests to seek shelter, especially in hidden areas of homes where they won’t be bothered. You might need a Spring Lake exterminator to handle an infestation if you have any of these spiders.

Common House Spiders

Common house spiders are usually a grayish or brownish color. They build webs and usually don’t both people. However, you might want an exterminator to come to your home if you find a large number of these spiders.

Yellow Sac Spiders

Yellow sac spiders are a yellowish or pale beige color with darker coloring on the ends of their legs. These spiders spin tubes instead of webs, which they use for hiding from predators and laying their eggs.

Jumping Spiders

Jumping spiders are small spiders that are known for their jumping movements to get around. These tiny spiders aren’t a threat to humans, but an exterminator can help if you have an infestation of them in your home.

Long-Bodied Cellar Spiders

Long-bodied cellar spiders are often found in basements and other dark and damp areas of homes where they lie in wait for their prey. These spiders have a small body and very long legs, giving them the nickname daddy longlegs.
